Funeral services for William Prussel occurred Friday afternoon at the Methodist church conducted by the Rev. Glenn S. Hartong. Music was furnished by Mrs. Robert Leachman, Mrs. Elton Gross and Eldon Stafford. The casket bearers were William Halsted, Fred Miller, John Lamphere, Julius Klebbe, August Gipper and Peter Hanson. Burial was made in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
As a son of Fred and Louise Fischer Prussel, he was born at Centralia, Dubuque county, on Sept. 17, 1870, and died at his home north of Strawberry Point, Wednesday forenoon, after a lingering illness. He was married to Rebecca Lingard on April 18, 1905. The home has been made here for the past thirty-seven years. Mr. Prussel was a member of the local Methodist church. He was a good neighbor and friend, his first thought was of home. Surviving are his wife and two children, Donald and Lucille, both at home also one grandchild and two sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Lena Pratt, Clinton; Mrs. Harry Foreman, Lincoln, Nebr., Charles Prussel, Fairplay, Wis., Ed Prussel and Frank Prussel, Dubuque. His parents, one sister and one brother preceded him in death.
