GOSHEN: J. E. Kinyon* died at his home in Millville township last week Tuesday at about midnight at the age of 66 years, 8 months and 4 days.
Death was due to a heart attack.
J. E. Kinyon was born at Cedarville, Kansas, Feb. 04, 1874, to Walter and Phoebe Wheeler Kenyon, his parents came to Iowa when he was four years old.
His boyhood days were spent in this community but at the age of 22 years he went west and worked in the gold mines in Colorado and other states.
In 1903 he returned to Iowa and settled on the home farm where he spent the rest of his life.
Dec. 05, 1906 he was united in marriage to Miss Susan Minger and to this union was born four daughters: Mrs. Clara Barnhart, Mrs. Ada Tompkins of Colesburg, Mrs. Berdina Burdt of Bloomington, Ill., and Mrs. Margaret Tompkins of Manchester.
He is survived by his wife and four daughters, his aged mother, Mrs. Phoebe Kinyon of Bethany home at Dubuque, two brothers, Walter of Turkey River, Ira of Kellogg, Idaho, and one sister, Mrs. Alice Wheeler of Seattle, Wash., and four grandchildren.
