GARNAVILLO: Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in St. Paul's Lutheran church here for Mrs. Amelia Limbach, 84, who died Thursday afternoon.
The Rev. A. Meyer officiated at the service and at the Garnavillo cemetery where interment was made.
She was born in Read township on October 10, 1856, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cort Tangeman. She was married to Henry Limbach, a wagon maker, on October 16, 1884. They became the parents of five children, Joe, Viola, Edna, Charlotte and Gretchen.
Eight weeks ago, Mrs. Limbach fell and broke her hip. Although the bone healed, other complications set in and last Saturday, she became much worse and on Thursday she died.
She is survived by her three daughters, Mrs. Gretchen Dettmann of Garnavillo, Mrs. Edna Schulte of Garnavillo and Charlotte of Los Angeles, Calif.; one brother Ben of Garnavillo and one sister Mrs. Fred Schmidt of Garnavillo.
Her husband died eight years ago and two other children preceded her in death.
