Clayton County Register, 02 Oct. 1940.
GARNAVILLO: Allan Bahls, three year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bahls, died Sunday afternoon at his home here following a painful illness caused by cancer.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in St. Paul's Lutheran church here with the Rev. A. Meyer officiating.
The little boy died on the day of his third birthday.
He is survived by his parents, one brother, Cecil and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Hill and Max Bahls.
