LUANA: Burdette, the eight year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rekow, was taken to Iowa City Wednesday, September 04, as a case of infantile paralysis. He died Thursday and burial was at 10 o'clock Saturday morning in the St. John's Lutheran cemetery at Luana.

His death is mourned by his parents, three sisters, Gwendolyn, Marjorie and Karen Rae, and a brother, Leigh, all at home. Seven years ago a brother died of a similar disease, spinal meningitis. A little sister also preceded him in death.
