Mrs. Louise (Schuldt) Nightingale departed this life Friday evening at 3 o'clock after suffering from a brief illness at the home of her son, Herman.
Mrs. Nightingale was born in Germany on Feb. 06, 186_, and had reached the age of 8_ years, 3 months and 26 days.
She leaves to mourn her six children: Mrs. Anna _ieck, Mrs. Minnie Hackert and Herman Nightingale, all of Littleport, Henry and William of Mederville and Carl of Clayton, 32 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren besides a host of friends. Her husband preceded her in death March 1_, 1___. Burial was made in the Mederville cemetery Sunday.

Mrs. Louisa Nightengale died at her home in Mederville on Friday, Aug. 02, after a short illness.
She was born February 06, 1840, in Germany, so at the time of her death had reached the age of 100 years, one month and 26 days.
Her husband, Ferdinand Nightengale, preceded her in death last year but she is survived by two daughters, as follows: Mrs. Anna Reick and Mrs. Minnie Hakert, both of Littleport; Herman of Littleport, and Henry, Carl and William, all of Mederville. Thirty-two grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held last Sunday and burial was made in the Mederville cemetery, The Rev. N. O. Bartholomew of Elkader officiating.
