Clayton County Register, 12 June 1940.

Mrs. Henry Ortman, a long-time resident of this county, died last evening at 10:30 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Bock, here in Elkader, at the age of 82 years.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 at the Bock home, and at 2:00 at the Frieden's Evangelical church, with burial in the Littleport cemetery, with the Rev. P. Kitterer of this place officiating.
