Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Schmidt were held Tuesday morning at the St. Mary's Catholic church, conducted by Rev. P. J. Taken. The pall-bearers were Geo. Benson, R. J. Kamoss, Peter DeWitte, Daniel Ivory, P. H. Quinn and James McTaggart. Burial was made in the Strawberry Point cemetery.

As Matilda Anna Schulke*, she was born in Luxemburg, Germany, on Oct. 18, 1873. She came with her parents to America at the age of seven and they settled at Merrill, Wis. On Jan. 28, 1892, she was married to Albert F. Schmidt. They lived at Merrill for two years, after which they moved here, where the home has since been made. To this union eight children, six of whom survive, were born.

Mr. Schmidt died Sept. 27, 1917*.

Mrs. Schmidt died Sunday morning. she had not been well for some time and was found Saturday on the floor, unconscious, and never regained consciousness. She is survived by the following children: Arthur of Delhi; Mrs. Wm. (Mabel) Sipes, Des Moines; Mrs. Edna Parker, Miss Edith Schmidt and Francis, all of Chicago, and Robert of Strawberry Point. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and two sisters and one brother: Mrs. Edna Floyd, Chicago; Mrs. Martha Kleinschmidt, Merrill, Wis., and Robert Schulke, Sheboygan, Wis.
