Mrs. Paul Erickson of this place died April 30, at Iowa City of heart trouble. She had been in failing health for several years.

Blanche June Boots was born here in Elkader, June 30, 1909, and at the time of her death had reached the age of 30 years and ten months.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Samuel Boots. She received her education in the local public school and on Nov. 10, 1930, was united in marriage, in Chicago, to Paul Anthony Erickson. Two children were born to this union - a son Paul Anthony, Jr., and a daughter, Phylis June, who, together with the husband, survive.

She is also survived by her parents, sisters and four brothers, as follows: Mrs. Arthur L. Kramer, Elkader; Ira Boots, Cedar Falls; Clarence Boots, Elkader; Sam Boots, Willow Hill, Pa.; Mrs. Geo. Allen Edwards, Minneapolis; Mrs. J. B. Jensen, Fort Riley, Kansas; Ray Boots and Mrs. D. E. Hoover, both of Elkader.

Funeral services were held in the Congregational church last Sunday afternoon and burial was made in the East Side cemetery, the Rev. Noyes O. Bartholomew officiating.

Relatives, from a distance, who attended the services included: Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Erickson and daughter Julia of Duluth, Minn., father and mother and sister of Mr. Erickson; Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Erickson and Roland Erickson, Chicago; Dr. Chalberg, Minneapolis, Mrs. Kohlberg, Braham, Minn., and Sergeant J. B. Jensen , of Fort Riley, Kansas.

The choir, which sang during the services included Mrs. R. L. Morse, Mrs. G. H. Wilke, Mrs. Abbie Griffith and Miss Ruth Stebor.
