MONONA: Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Humphrey Nolan were held at 9:30 from St. Patrick's Catholic church, Wednesday, and burial was made in the St. Patrick's Catholic cemetery.
Mrs. Humphrey spent all of her early life in Monona, and married a widower, a Mr. Nolan, who died this winter. She had visited in Monona this winter and was visiting her half-sister, Mrs. Anna Beers, at Gary, Indiana, where she suffered a fall, and the shock was so great she never recovered and this caused her death.
Mrs. Nolan was a good Catholic and died comforted by the rites of her church. She tenderly cared for her good parents until their death, her mother living to a good old age. She was married to Mr. Nolan and they lived at Plankington, S.D. She had planned on returning to Monona to live.
