Schwietert, John Henry Herman died 1940

McGregor: Funeral services for John Henry Herman Schweitert*, 68, were held at the Firsh Lutheran church on Swede Ridge, the Rev. Oscar Haugstul officiating. Mr. Schweitert died at the home of his son, Gustav, on Swede Ridge. Burial was in the Swede Ridge cemetery.

He was born in Hanover, Germany, where he became engaged in farming and mill work. He was married in 1894 to Wilhelmina Hartke, and two children were born them, one dying in infancy. His wife died in 1923 and four years later he came to America with his son Gustave. He is survived by his son and five grandchldren.
