Monona: Funeral services for Mrs. Mathilde Lestina, aged 44, were held at nine o'clock Monday morning from St. Patrick's Catholic church. The Rev. Father Luke Donlon sang the mass of requiem, and said the prayers at the grave.
Pallbearers were Frank Holly, John G. Holly, Jacob Holly, Veneil_f Holly, Elmer Holly, George Holly, and William Schroeder.
Surviving Mrs. Lestina are the widower, Ben F. Lestina, one son, Gerald Lestina, and one daughter, Jean Frances Lestina, both at home; her aged mother, Mrs. Mary Holly; eight brothers, Frank Holly, John G. Holly, Albert Holly, Jacob Holly, Veneilof Holly, and Elmer Holly, all of Monona, Joseph Holly near Farmersburg, and George E. Holly of Sumner, and four sisters, Mrs. Rose Schroeder and Mrs. Anna Montgomery of Monona, Mrs. Kate Johnson of Marquette, and Mrs. Mary Fibiker of Boone, Iowa.
Mrs. Lestina was a faithful member of the Catholic church, a member of the Rosary confraternity. She was a good wife and mother and leaves two splendid children whom she influenced and taught her many good virtues. She was a true wife and daughter. Especially since the sudden death of her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Lestina, did she assist her mother, Mrs. Mary Holly, with her work and was a comfort and real standby. She was a good sister and will be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters as well as her family. The sympathy of the entire community is extended the bereaved in their sudden loss.
