Clayton County Register, 17 Jan. 1940.

Monona: Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Geraghty, aged 83, were held at nine-thirty Tuesday morning from St. Patrick's Catholic church, The Rev. Father Luke Donlon read the mass of requiem and said the prayers at the grave in the parish cemetery where she was buried beside her husband.

Surviving Mrs. Geraghty are her daughter, Katherine Geraghty who cared for her parents faithfully all her life and six sons, Patrick Geraghty of St. Paul; John Geraghty of northern Minnesota; Tom E. Geraghty of Great Falls, Mont.; Michael Geraghty of Eagle Grove, Ia.; Joseph and Edward Geraghty on the home farm. Three grandchildren also survive her, Patricia, Emmet and Roger Geraghty, who made her life happier by their companionship. A sister, Mrs. Mary Englis, also survives her. Three children and her late husband John Geraghty preceded her in death, the latter in September, 1932. All of Mrs. Geraghty's life was spent in this community.

The sympathy of the entire community is extended the bereaved in their loss.
