Clayton County Register, 03 Jan. 1940.

Walter Richards, father of Max D. Richards of this place, died at the home of his son here this morning at three o'clock. He had been making his home here for the past three months.

The body was taken to Arlington, his former home, this morning, but the funeral arrangements had not been completed as this was written.
