STRAWBERRY POINT: Funeral services for Charles Fedrick were conducted at the Emanuel's Lutheran church, Friday afternoon, by the Rev. Max O. Jahr. Burial was made in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
As a son of Otto and Katherine Fredrick, he was born at Schenectady, N.Y., on Nov. 23, 1860, and died at the Mercy hospital in Oelwein, Tuesday, following a stroke on Saturday. When seven years old, he came with his parents and settled on a farm near here. Twenty-seven years ago he purchased a home in town, where he has since resided. On Oct. 23, 1884, he was married to Regina Mueller, and the golden wedding anniversary was celebrated in 1934. Surviving besides his wife and three children, John Fredrick, William Fredrick and Mrs. Otto (Julia) Baumgartner, all of Strawberry Point; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; also four sisters, Mrs. Julia Manning and Mrs. Mary Milheim, both of Oelwein, Mrs. Eliza Waring and Mrs. Elizabeth Nodurft, of Strawberry Point.
