MONONA: Funeral services for Richard Geraghty, aged 82, were held Saturday morning at 9:30 from St. Patrick's Catholic church. The Father Luke Donlon was the celebrant of the requiem high mass; The Father J. J. Smith of Manchester was deacon; the Rev. Father A. Murphy of Green, sub-deacon and the Rev. Father M. J. Hogan of Green, master of ceremonies. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Richard Geraghty, the only son James and Mary Geraghty, was born Feb. 14, 1857, on a farm on Pleasant Ridge, where he grew to manhood. August 16, 1893, he was married to Miss Anna Grady and after two years on a farm they moved to Monona, where he worked for Gus Greeg, lumberman, and then the Meuser Lumber Co. Having a very genial disposition he had many friends.

Surviving him are the widow, Mrs. Anna Geraghty; three daughters, Mrs. Thomas E. Manton of Cedar Rapids, Sister M. Consolate, a teacher in the Manchester parochial school and Mrs. Charles Fitzpatrick of Davenport; one son, Joseph Geraghty of Cedar Rapids. A son, Raymond, died when an infant. Three sisters also survive him: Mrs. Anna Motheral, Mrs. Mary Berry and Miss Katherine Geraghty; one niece and one nephew, Regina and William Berry.
