CHRISTIAN ZAPH

Christian Zaph died Friday morning, Dec. 08th, at 4:15 o'clock, at the home of his son, Hubert. Funeral services were held Monday morning at 9:00 at St. Joseph's church, Garnavillo.

Mr. Zapf was born at Garnavillo October 16, 1858. In 1889 he was united in marriage to Cecelia Kann. Surviving are two sons, Max of Clayton and Hubert of Elkader; One brother, Joe, of Guttenberg and two granddaughters. His wife preceded him in death, 23 years ago.

(Note: The surname Zaph/Zapf was spelled both ways in the article, as shown.)
