Guttenberg: Louis Matt died Monday afternoon at his home, after a lingering illness. He and his family moved to Guttenberg about 18 years ago. A widow and eight children mourn his death, namely: Walter of Mcgregor, Adelbert of Indiana, Ben and Louis of St. Olaf, Olivia of Guttenberg, Veronica of Platteville, and Lucille of Epworth.

The funeral services were held Thursday morning at 9:30, in St. Mary's church, and the Rev. Joseph Dupont of Guttenberg and the Rev. H. Scharphoff of Garnavillo officiated. Interment was made in Garnavillo.
