Portwine, Eugene Lyle 1937 - 1939

Clayton County Register, 30 Aug. 1939.

Eugene Lyle Portwine was born August 12, 1937, at Elkport, and died August 23, 1939, having attained the age of two years and 11 days. At the time of his death he was at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph McDowell, where he had been staying during his brief illness.

Those who mourn his departure, besides his mother, Buelah Portwine, are his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Portwine, an uncle, Lloyd Portwine, and an aunt, Leaneta Mae Portwine, all of Elkport.

Burial was made in Bethel cemetery, Aug. 25, 1939, with Rev. C. P. Schrupp of Garber officiating.
