Funeral services were held here Monday afternoon at the Oelke Mortuary for Frank Geock*, who had died at 3:25 a.m., last Friday. Burial was made in the East Side cemetery, the Rev. N. O. Bartholomew officiating.
The deceased was born December 22, 1863, in Ohio, the son of Louis and Margaret Geock*. The major part of his life had been spent in or near Elkader and for the last four years he had been living alone. He died following a brief illness.
He is survived by one sister - Mrs. Rose Sprague, Goshen, Ind.; two half-sisters - Nancy Brown, Dowaglac, Mich.; Elli Trueblood, Andersonville, Ind., and two half-brothers - William Laird and George W. Laird, both of this place. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Casket-bearers were: Elmer Dill, Oscar and Vern Shaw, A. A. Schultz, George Meyer and Claude Maggert.
