MONONA: William J. Miller, aged 64, died at his home in Pasadena, Cal., after an illness of eight months. The body was brought to Monona for burial beside is first wife.
He was born near Monona, May 28, 1875, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Miller. Feb. 15, 1899, he was united to Miss Alma Wirkler at Monona whose death occurred in 1926. Later he was married to Miss Helen Hersch at Pasadena.
Surviving him are the widow, Mrs. Helen Miller and one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Conover, both of Pasadena, and one sister, Mrs. H. E. Schrader of Luana.
Mr. Miller was until fifteen years ago a resident of this community, owning and living on the farm now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. William G. Ferguson and sons north of Monona. He was an honest man, good neighbor and a kind friend and the entire community is very sorry to learn of his death.
