Clayton County Register, 28 June 1939.

The home of Ben W. James was saddened Friday afternoon by the death of his wife, Mrs. Eva James.

Mr. and Mrs. James were married about eight years ago and have been residing in Guttenberg. The husband and several stepsons mourn her death.

The funeral was held in the M.E. church Monday afternoon at two o'clock, the Rev. Newell Brink officiating. Interment was made in the Guttenberg cemetery.
