EDGEWOOD: Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Nelson Hansel, 62, Thursday afternoon, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Otto Hansel, seven miles northeast of Edgewood. The Rev. Maynard Bell of Riceville officiated. Burial was in the Wayman cemetery near Garber. Mrs. Hansel was born near Osterdock, the daughter of Ransford and Amelia Palmer. Dec. 25, 1905, she was married to Nelson Hansel of Garber, and to this union four children were born, two of whom preceded her in death. She was a member of the United Brethren church. Mourning her death are: her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Donald O'Bryne of Chickasaw, and Zepha Hansel of Des Moines; one granddaughter; five sisters and three brothers, Mrs. George Paker of Waterloo, Mrs. Frank Bell of Earlville, Mrs. J. W. Hansel of Garber, Mrs. Ralph Ross of Delaware, Mrs. Otto Hansel of Edgewood, Bert Palmer of Manchester, and Henry Palmer of Decorah. Music was furnished by a mixed quartet from Edgewood, Mr. and Mrs. F. Ray Minkler, Mrs. F. I. Smith and C. J. Rulon, with Miss Margart accompanist.
