Clayton County Register, 15 Feb. 1939.

MONONA: Funeral services for Martin L. Franck, aged 76, were held at 1:45 from the home and at two o'clock, Monday afternoon from the First Methodist church, and burial was made in the city cemetery. The pastor, Rev. George W. Turner, officiated.

Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Martin L. Franck, one son, George Franck, and one daughter, Mrs. Carle Riehle of New Hampton, and one adopted daughter, Mrs. Weber Ziegler of Monona. A son, Elmer Franck, preceded him in death.

Mr. and Mrs. Franck spent all of their life in the vicinity of Monona, and have lived in Monona a number of years. It was their privilege last year to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary, which was a very happy occasion for them. The sympathy of the community is extended Mrs. Franck and children in their great loss.
