Strawberry Point: Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Schepker, of Greeley, were held Monday afternoon, Jan. 02, at the Emanuel's Lutheran church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Max O. Jahr. Burial was made in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
Grace Rippen, daughter of Garret and Eliza Rippen, was born near Monticello, Iowa, on Jan. 05, 1884, and died at her home near Greeley, Friday, Dec. 30, 1938. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and confirmed at the age of 14. In the spring of 1900 she, with her parents, moved to a farm near Strawberry Point. She was united in marriage to Henry Schepker at Strawberry Point on Jan. 08, 1908. In 1914 she moved with her family moved to a farm near Greeley, where she has since resided. She is survived by her husband, an only daughter, Louise, of Greeley, and one brother, Fred Rippen, of Arlington, and other relatives, besides a large circle of friends.
