Clayton County Register, 11 Jan. 1939.
Veryl Dean Marmann, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Marmann, died at the home of his parents, Tuesday morning, Jan. 03, of a brief illness of bronchial pneumonia. He was born Oct. 05, 1938, and reached the age of two months and 28 days.
Funeral services were held at the home at 1:30, Thursday afternoon, Jan. 05, with burial in St. Joseph's cemetery, Elkader.
He leaves to mourn, his parents; 5 brothers, Ray Jr., Vurnell, Everett, Donald and Allan Dale, and two sisters, Elvera and Geneva; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Taake, Elkader, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Marmann, Manchester; a great-grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Buckmann of Elkader, and many other relatives and friends.
