Clayton County Register, 11 Jan. 1939.

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Minnie Klink last Saturday afternoon at the late home at one thirty and at two o'clock at the Frieden's Evangelical church, here. Burial was made in the East Side cemetery, the Rev. P. Kitterer officiating.

Mrs. Minnie Wilhelmina Klink, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Meyer, was born Dec. 31, 1877, here in Boardman township, and died in the Presbyterian hospital in Waterloo, after failing health in the last six months, January 05th. She reached the age of 61 years and five days.

Mrs. Klink was united in marriage on October 14, 1896, to Louis Klink. Six children were born to this union. Leo preceded his mother in death, at the age of 24, and Harry was called to his reward at two years of age. The following four children remain to mourn her departure: Milton of Elkader, Leslie of St. Olaf, Mrs. Melvina Roeder of Elkader, and Mrs. Ethel Emerson of Cedar Falls.

Mrs. Klink enjoyed a very large circle of friends, first of all because of her pleasing personality, and because she devoted much of her time to practical nursing. When once in the home, she gained the trust and love of all, because of her sincere interest of every life and her conscientious desire to perform the work allotted her. Of course, her main interest was to her home and family; to her husband she was a devoted companion, and to her children a loving and faithful mother.

The deceased was a member of Frieden's Evangelical church and the Frauen Verein. She was always a willing helper whenever she was called upon. She was also a member of the Service Star, and Royal Neighbors.

She is survived by her husband, the above named children, also one brother, Chris Meyer, of Elkader, and one sister, Mrs. Augusta Dohrer. Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death. Four grandchildren, and a large circle of friends also mourn her departure.
