Henry Huebner died at his home in Read township, Nov. 03, as the result of cancer of several months' duration.

The deceased was born April 18, 1884, in Clayton Center, the son of Frederick and Wilhelmina Huebner. March 05, 1907, he was united in marriage with Emma Best, in Read township, who, together with one daughter and one son, survive. The surviving daughter is Mrs. Minerva Walter, Elkader, and Irvin Huebner, at home.

Besides these, he is also survived by one brother - William of Elkader, and one sister - Mrs. Wm. Mueller of Guttenberg.

Mr. Huebner received his education in the rural schools of his township and then took up the life of a farmer.

In August he was taken to the hospital in Iowa City for the treatment of cancer. No operation, however, was performed, and he was returned home, where he was confined to his bed until the time of his death, when he reached the age of 54 years, six months and 15 days.

Funeral services were held in the Zion's Lutheran church in Clayton Center, Monday, Nov. 07, with the Rev. O. M. Meyer officiating. Casket-bearers were: Ed. Hoth, Geo. Kahlbaum, Art Smith, Harley Kalke, Art Huckstadt and Louis Glawe.
