Clayton County Register, 07 Sept. 1938.

GUTTENBERG: John Louis Danner of Dubuque died at the home of his niece, Mrs. Gertrude Merritt on Thursday a.m. at 8 o'clock, Sept. 01st, 1938.

Mr. Danner was born at Union Town, Penn., March 07tth, 1852.

He lived in this vicinity years ago and has been gone from here over sixty years.

One brother, George of Dubuque, one sister, Mrs. Hannah Reid of Milton, Delaware, and several nieces and nephews mourn his death.

Mr. Danner had been in good health until about a week ago.

The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock and interment was made in the Friedlein cemetery.
