Clayton County Register, 07 September 1938.

GARNAVILLO: Elmer G. Mueller, 48, prominent farmer near Garnavillo, died suddenly at his home Saturday morning September 03. Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's church Tuesday morning, with the Rev. Henry Scharphoff reading the mass.

Mr. Mueller had been in Ill health for some time.

He was born in Garnavillo township, May 23, 1890, the second oldest son of Fred and Sophia Walke Mueller.

He was married to Ann Meder January 12, 1915.

He is survived by his wife, his father, one brother, Albert, of this place, and one sister, Mrs. Chas. Peterson, of Cook, Neb. His mother and one brother, Clarence, preceded him in death.

Burial was made in St. Joseph's cemetery, here.
