Clayton County Register, 20 July 1938.

GUTTENBERG: Funeral services were held in St. Mary's church, Thursday morning, for James Nigg, 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Nigg. He had been ill for several weeks and on last Saturday he was taken to Iowa City and died Monday at 3 a.m. His survivors are his parents; two sisters, Doris and Mary; two brothers, Harold and Raymond; a grandmother, Mrs. Fukey, and many other relatives. The Rev. J. A. Dupont officiated at the church and the grave. Burial was made in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
