FARMERSBURG: Mrs. Lucy Marie Schievelbein, nee Heuer, the wife of Harry Schievelbein, was born July 05, 1898, in Read township, Clayton county, Ia. As an infant she was baptized in the Lutheran church of Clayton Center.

On Feb. 10, 1925, having spent her childhood and the days of her youth in Clayton county, she was united in marriage to Harry Schievelbein. Together with him she lived on a farm near Clayton Center, then on a farm near Farmersburg, and finally on the farm which was to be home until the time of her death.

This union was blessed with two children, Glenda and Lendall.

For the past ten years, Mrs. Schievelbein has not enjoyed perfect health. During the past two years she was failing. Even though all medical aid was sought, and a serious operation performed, she did not regain her health. She passed away Saturday morning, May 14, at 8:30, in the hospital at Rochester, Minn. She reached the age of 39 years, ten months and nine days.

She leaves to mourn, her husband, her two children, Glenda and Lendall, her brothers and sisters, Mrs. Wm. Ihlenfeldt, Mrs. Ernest Ihlenfeldt, Otto Heuer, Arno Heuer, Paul Heuer and Mrs. Horace Larson; also a host of relatives and friends.
