Clayton County Register, 18 May 1938.

McGregor: Funeral services were held Sunday for Mrs. Ida Hagensick, 65, who died in Cedar Rapids, Friday, while on her way to the hospital at Iowa City. She was being taken to the hospital by Miss Eva R. Jordan. She became seriously ill at Coggan, and an oil station attendant volunteered to accompany Miss Jordan to Iowa City, but death came while they were going through the city of Cedar Rapids. The coroner pronounced death caused by heart trouble, and Miss Jordan returned to McGregor with the body, where it was placed in George Pilkington's undertaking parlor.
