Frank Dresser Hagensick, son of Henry Hagensick and his wife, Jane Dresser Hagensick, was born in Elkader, Iowa, July 28, 1880, and was called to his reward May 05, 1938, at his Elkader home, reaching the age of 57 years, nine months and seven days. Mr. Hagensick spent his entire life in this community.

Heins, Mrs. Frank Possehl, Mrs. August Lenth, Mrs. Lenora Kurdelmeier, all of Monona; Mrs. John Hagensick and Everett Hagensick, of Marquette; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Becker and Marie, Mr. and Mrs. A. S. He received his education in the Elkader school, graduating from the high school with the class of 1899. After his graduation he was engaged by his father, who was proprietor and owner of the Hagensick drug store, until his death in 1932.
On July 28, 1932, he was united in marriage to Anna Staack of Clayton Center, who survives him in death. The deceased was a quiet, unassuming person, but anyone gaining his confidence and friendship, found him interesting, congenial, and having many fine qualities.
Frank had not enjoyed good health for some time, and for two months before his death he was confined to his home. All that medical science and his wife could do to find a cure and relief for his ailments, was done, but God willed otherwise. During his days of sickness he expressed a desire for Holy Baptism, which he received, and also enjoyed the comfort of the Lord's Supper.
He leaves to mourn his departure, besides his wife, one brother, Ray H. Hagensick of Elkader, and a large number of other relatives and friends.
Services were held from his home, Sunday afternoon, May 08, at 1:30 p.m., and at Friedens Evangelical church. Burial was made in the East Side cemetery, the Rev. P. Kitterer officiating. Pallbearers were Amos Hagensick, Milton Hagensick, Otherton Wickersheim, Harold Dahl, Lawrence Dresser and Melvin Schneider.
