ELKPORT: Jervis Scheffert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Scheffert, residents of Volga township, died in Mercy hospital, Dubuque, Monday, April 25th, of spinal meningitis, after a short illness. The deceased was 24 years of age and was born and raised in Volga township. The funeral will be held Thursday morning, 9:30 o'clock, at Garber, with burial in the Elkader cemetery. Rev. Father Olinger will officiate.
