Clayton County Register, 16 Mar. 1938.

GUTTENBERG: The funeral of Mrs. Ennen was held at the Beerman funeral home Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Ennen had been at Elkader for several months, and she died last Sunday at the age of 80 years. Three daughters, Theresa, Mildred and Evelyn, and one son, Oswald, and some other relatives survive. Burial was made in the city cemetery.
