MONONA: Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Collins, for many years a resident of Monona, were held Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the local funeral home with burial in the city cemetery beside her husband, the Rev. George W. Turner, pastor of the local Methodist church officiated.
Mrs. Collins lived at Independence, Mo., with her daughter, Mrs. Mila Sargent. Another daughter also survives her.

Cox Creek: Roy Hines attended the funeral of Mrs. E. R. Collins at Monona Saturday. Mrs. Collins was the mother of Mrs. Roy Hines. She had spent several winters in the Hines home previous to the death of Mrs. Hines. For the past two years she had made her home with another daughter, Mrs. Mila Sargent, at Kansas City, where her death occurred. She was brought to Monona, her former home, where funeral services were held and burial was made by the side of her husband, who died a number of years ago.
