STRAWBERRY POINT: Miss Mary Hanks, aged 73 years, died Wednesday at the county home at Elkader. Funeral services were held at the Gill Funeral Chapel here Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Carrie V. Lucas, pastor of the Congregational church. Interment was made in the Strawberry Point cemetery.

Miss Hanks was the daughter of Mahlon and Martha Perkins Hanks, and was born near Soldier's Grove, Wisconsin, in 1864. For several years she was a resident of Strawberry Point. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Martha Collins, of Troutdale, Ore., two brothers, Mahlon Hanks, of Bellingham, Wash., and Bert Hanks of Seneca, Wis.; three nieces, Mrs. Vern Nading and Mrs. Derwald Nading of Fayette, Mrs. Nellie Green of Seneca, Wis., and one nephew, William Hart of Strawberry Point.
