Funeral services will be held in St. John's church in Farmersburg next Friday afternoon at two o'clock, for Louis Benzing, who died at his home north of Farmersburg yesterday morning.
The Rev. H. M. Adix will officiate and burial will be made in the Farmersburg cemetery.

Lewis Benzing, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Benzing, was born March 10, 1874, in Wagner township, Clayton county, Iowa. Mr. Benzing remained in the home of his parents until 1912, when he began farming for himself. He continued on his farm until about five years ago, when he suffered a stroke. He then moved in with his brother Fred. Here he continued to live until the time of his death. His death was hastened by another stroke which he suffered ten days before his death. Shortly after the second stroke , his sister, Mrs. Logan Johnson, and his brother, Gust Benzing, came to be with him, and did for him what was humanly possible. Mr. Benzing died Tuesday morning, Nov. 02, at 4:00 o'clock. He reached the age of 63 years, seven months and 22 days.
He leaves to mourn, his sisters and brothers: Mrs. Anna Gilbert of Bayfield, Wis, John Benzing of Rowle, Kan., Fred Benzing of Farmersburg, Mrs. Logan Johnson of Minneola, Kan., Gust Benzing of Farmersburg, as well as other relatives and friends. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
