BERNS, KAINZ, THEIN, LABARE

Clayton County Register, 27 Oct. 1937.

Funeral services were held Oct. 15th for Ben Berns at St. Michael's church in Gaber, the Rev. Father Goetzinger officiating.

Mr. Berns had died at his home in Garber, after a short illness on October 12th, at the age of 48 years, one month and 25 days. He was born in Volga township in the year 1889, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Berns, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by one brother and three sisters, as follows: Otto Berns, Volga township; Mrs. Frank Kainz, Volga township; Mrs. Joe Thein, Elk township; and Mrs. Leonard LaBarre of St. Paul. Six nieces and six nephews also survive.

The casket-bearers were: Lawrence and Herbert Thein, James ____, ________ _____, _____ _______,_________ Barre and Joe Curran. _
