GUTTENBERG: William F. Kregel, 68 years old, passed away at his home in Guttenberg Sunday afternoon at 2:30, following an illness of long duration. Mr. Kregel was born on a farm in Jefferson township, Clayton County, Iowa, on December 20, 1878, where he grew to manhood. He was married at Guttenberg to Miss Mary Kuecker. After their marriage the couple lived on a farm in this township, nine years ago coming to Guttenberg to reside.
His death is deeply mourned by four sons, Albert, William, Ewald and Alto, all of Jefferson township; two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Lundt of Jefferson township, and Mrs. Elmer Moser of Arlington; seven grandchildren; two brothers, John and Fred Kregel, of Jefferson township; four sisters, Mrs. Louise Heusman of Geary, Okla., Mrs. Otto Meyer of Jefferson township, Mrs. John F. Tuecke of Guttenberg, and Mrs. Anna Clefisch of Volga township; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. W. J. F. Adix at St. John's American Lutheran church here this (Wednesday) afternoon, with burial in the City cemetery.
