Clayton County Register, 12 May 1937.

Mrs. Thomas Williams, 88, daughter of the late Isaac Havens, died at the home of her son Isaac D. L. Williams in Los Angeles last Sunday morning according to a telegram received here Monday by Mrs. E. M. Paul.

Memorial services are being held in Los Angeles today after which the body will be placed in a receiving vault. Later the body is to be brought here for burial in the family lot in the East Side cemetery.

McGregor friends yesterday received word of the death of Mrs. Thomas Williams Sunday in Los Angeles. She was 88 years old.

Funeral services were to be held in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon and temporary interment was to be made there. Later the body will be brought to Elkader for final burial.

Mrs. Williams (Mary Jane) lived in McGregor for many years and has a home on Ann street, near the Artesian well. She left McGregor seven or eight years ago to make her home with her son, I.D.L. Williams, in California.
