Cox Creek: At her home in Edgewood, April 27, 1937, occurred the death of Mrs. Ruth A. Hines. Mrs. Hines was born and raised in the vicinity of Cox Creek. She lived on a farm near there until a few years ago when she moved with her family to Edgewood. She was the mother of five children, all living, Hazel (Mrs. Vern Kellogg), Glen, Melvin, May and Kenneth. Funeral services for Mrs. Hines were held in the Platt funeral home in Edgewood Friday afternoon, and burial was made in the Cox Creek cemetery.
