Clayton County Register, 05 May 1937.

LUANA: Our friend and neighbor, Wm. C. Landt, Sr., died Wednesday noon at his home in Luana after a short illness although in failing health for some months. He was 78 years of age. The funeral occurred Saturday forenoon from the Lutheran church, his pastor Rev. Kumpf officiating. Burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery in Luana. He leaves to mourn his death his widow, two sons, Wm. C. and Rudolph and Mrs. Otto Schmidt of Medford, Mrs. John Krambeer of Monona, Mrs. Earl Reiners of West Union with their families, also Misses Alma and Emma at home.
