Mr. Cunningham was born in Washington, Ohio, Nov. 18, 1864, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Cunningham. He was one of a family of six children. When a young boy he moved with his parents to Iowa, residing for a number of years in Bancroft, where he engaged in Business.
