MCGREGOR: Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Congregational church for Lorn L, Haight, who died early last Sunday morning after a long illness caused by heart disease. Rev. S. F. Kenderdine officiated at the service, and burial was made in Pleasant Grove cemetery. Lorn Haight was the son of John and Elizabeth Haight, and was born in McGregor August 23, 1874. He was one of a family of five children, only one of whom is living, Thora (Mrs. Joseph) Felber, of LaCrosse, Wis. He was in the theatrical business for years, first being manager of the local opera house, then going to the East where for nine years he was a theatrical manager of stage shows, with headquarters in New York City. He knew personally many of the famous old time stage stars of his day. At the death of his mother in 1905, he returned to McGregor and continued her business. For over 30 years he has been the proprietor of Haight's news stand and music shop.
