GUTTENBERG: August Patzner, long-time resident of this community, died suddenly of heart trouble at his farm near Guttenberg, Saturday evening at 9:30 o'clock, at the age of 66 years, 10 months and three days. Mr. Patzner was sitting on a chair at his home when death suddenly called him. He had not been in the best of health for some time, but was able to be up and about at all times. He had been working about his farm home all of Saturday afternoon. His sudden death was a shock to his family, as well as this entire community.

Mr. Patzner was born at Potosi, Wis., on May 03, 1870, where he received his education and grew to early manhood. He was married at Potosi (Wis.) to Miss Rose Ames, Oct. 09, 1900. In the year 1902, Mr. and Mrs. Patzner came to Guttenberg, later moving onto a farm near town.

For a number of years and until his death, Mr. Patzner successfully operated a fine fruit farm here, in connection with other farming. His death is deeply mourned by his wife; one son, Charles Patzner, near Guttenberg; five grandchildren; one brother, Alois Patzner, Potosi, Wis.; one sister, Miss Hannah Patzner, Potosi, Wis., and numerous other relatives and friends, by whom he will be sadly missed.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. J. A. Dupont at St. Mary's Catholic church in Guttenberg this (Wednesday) morning at 9:30, with interment in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
