VOLGA: The death of Mrs. Mary Hurley, 80, occurred last week Monday at her home here, following a week's illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the home, The Rev. James Wray, pastor of the Presbyterian church, in charge, and interment was made at Hill Crest cemetery. The casket was borne by William Conboy, David Haldem, Howard, Charles, William and Randall Borden.
Mary Lucinda Benc Hurley, daughter of Joseph and Elzina Benc, was born at St. Louis, Mo., June 10, 1856 and departed this life at about four o'clock, the morning of February 15, 1937, being 80 years, eight months and five days old.
She was the wife of Bernard Hurley, who preceded her in death May 12, 1935. She is the last of a family of three brothers and one sister.
She is survived by one son, A. F. Schuler, of South Fork, Mo.; one daughter, Cora M. Borden, of Volga City; twelve grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
