Mrs. Harvey Miller, a victim of cancer for the last year, was relieved of her suffering by death early Sunday morning, Nov. 23. She had reached the age of 33 years and 20 days.

Mrs. Harvey Miller, nee Leona Ida Gottschalk, was born on Nov. 02, 1903, in Volga township, this county. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Gottschalk.

On June 24th, 1925, at Elkader, she was united in marriage to Harvey Miller. Three children were born to this union, namely, Dale, Lyle and Birdena, eleven, eight and three years of age, respectively.

Mrs. Miller was called upon to endure intense suffering for the last three months. Her loved ones living in this community did all in their power to ease her burden and her sister, Hazel, came from Ojai, Calif., and was also at her bedside during the last four weeks.

Mrs. Miller leaves to mourn her early death, her husband, the above named children, her parents, and the following brothers and sisters: Arno Gottschalk of Communia, Willis Gottschalk of Elkport, Mrs. LeRoy Kraus of Elkport, Mrs. Raymond Palmer of Ojai, Calif., and a large circle of friends.

Funeral services were held from the O. H. Miller home at 2:45 Tuesday afternoon and from the Friedens Evangelical church at 3:00. Interment was made in the East Side cemetery, the Rev. P. Kitterer officiating.
