Mrs. Arnold Plagman, nee Lillian Wolfe, was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wolfe, having been born in Guttenberg on Sept. 29, 1891. She spent the greater portion of her life in Jefferson and Volga townships,, and a short time near Elkader. At an early age she was baptized in the Lutheran church of Guttenberg. She also attended the public school of that city.
June 09, 1914, at Dubuque, she was united in marriage with Mr. Arnold Plagman of near Garber. Into this newly-founded home one child was born, a daughter, Ilo.
Three weeks ago, while visiting in the home of her parents in Guttenberg, she was stricken by an attack of pneumonia, from which she never recovered. The end came after much suffering at 7:40 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1936. She had attained the age of 45 years, 1 month and 14 days.
Those who grieve her death, besides her husband and daughter, are her parents, two sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Carrie Beehler, Guttenberg; Mrs. Edna Liesaw, Milwaukee, Wis.; Emil Wolfe, Muscatine; George Wolfe, Canton, Mo.; Clarence Wolfe, St. Ansgar, Iowa.
